BlackRock Targets 10% Stake in Circle’s USDC-Backed IPO at $24-$26 Per Share
BlackRock is positioning itself to acquire a significant 10% stake in Circle’s upcoming IPO, further solidifying its partnership with the USDC stablecoin issuer. The asset giant already manages the $30 billion Circle Reserve Fund, which underpins most of USDC’s reserves.
Priced between $24-$26 per share, the IPO could raise up to $624 million with an initial offering of 24 million shares. Institutional demand appears strong—Ark Invest may invest $150 million, while other major players are lining up. Despite Circle’s valuation being 25% lower than earlier projections, market Optimism persists following strong debuts from recent crypto-adjacent listings like eToro and CoreWeave.
